The normally quiet foothills of eastern Fresno County have their peace shattered when a young lady from a prominent family in the town of Auberry goes missing.  Almost a week later, Private Investigator Virgil Cook finds her remains in a vehicle that had accidentally gone over the edge on a mountain road.  Or had it?  As Virgil investigates, he comes across two murders and a series of home break-ins that seemingly have no connection to the missing person case.  Arson fires set to cover up evidence threaten to send the tinder dry foothill communities up in flames.  Working against time, Virgil himself becomes the target of a gunman seeking revenge while he desperately tries to identify the criminals and prevent more killings.

Killing Time in Auberry is the first book in the author's exciting new Killing Time murder/mystery series based in eastern Fresno County.

In the United States, medical related spending accounts for approximately eighteen percent of the gross domestic product, well above the amount spent by most other countries. That’s about $5 trillion dollars or about $14,500 for every man, woman, and child. It’s a juicy target for fraudsters. Medicare, Medi Cal, workers compensation, and other parts of the overall medical care delivery system have the attention of Russian mobsters and Mexican cartels who are out to cash in. Private Investigator Virgil Cook is working with local, state, and federal authorities to crack the fraud cases when four dead bodies, including a doctor, turn up in the normally quiet community of Friant. The lethal threat to a California Department of Justice Investigator on the case is all too clear. Virgil navigates through frustrating twists and turns while desperately trying to prevent any more deaths and to bring those responsible to account for their actions.

Killing Time in Friant is the second book in the author's exciting new Killing Time murder/mystery series based in eastern Fresno County.

The poison known as fentanyl has reached the foothills of eastern Fresno County and people are dying, including a high school girl. A solemn funeral in Tollhouse ends with a gunshot. A van with a baby inside is stolen from the parking lot of a convenience store. Private Investigator Virgil Cook is working with the Sheriff to solve a hate crime series and ends up finding a body in a remote lake. His investigation is interrupted when a deputy is accidentally crushed to death in a tragic accident. Or was it intentional? Virgil races against time to put seemingly unrelated pieces of a puzzle together to stop the deaths and restore peace to the community of Tollhouse.

Killing Time in Tollhouse is the third book in the author's exciting new Killing Time murder/mystery series based in eastern Fresno County.
